Golf gives a kid a game for life. It just doesn't come with a team — so we're building one.
Golf grows one family at a time, and today that mostly happens by word of mouth. If someone in your family already golfs, you probably know where the junior programs are — a course's website, an instructor's name, a Facebook post from a friend. If nobody does, there's no single place to look. Great programs go undiscovered not because they aren't good, but because families never found the page.
So the game keeps reaching the families already closest to it. Every family who finds a way in from outside that circle is a junior golfer the sport wouldn't otherwise have had. That's the whole reason this exists.
There's a second half to it. Sign your kid up for baseball, soccer, or football and you get a roster: eleven other families, a group chat, a carpool schedule everyone shares. You might know nothing about the sport, but by the second week you know five parents who do.
Golf works differently. No roster, no sideline, no other families waiting on the side. When you're starting out, there's often no one to ask: what to bring, what it costs, whether your kid is ready.
Cost and access matter too. This is just the part nobody talks about, and the part we can help with.
Parents looking for junior golf programs — including the ones who don't play golf themselves. Golf usually passes from a parent who plays down to a kid who gets handed a set of clubs, which leaves plenty of parents running the signup, the schedule, and the drop-off for a sport nobody ever taught them. This is written for you too.
Jr Tee Time is a directory of junior golf camps, clinics, academies, and tours near you — all in one searchable place, sorted by how close each one actually is. The way Kayak or Expedia works for travel, but for kids' golf.
None of these is live yet. When they are, this page will say so in the present tense.
Groups for parents. A group built around the specific program your kid is in — the roster golf never came with. Somewhere to sort a carpool, ask the question you feel silly asking, and find the parents who did this last year.
A template for courses. Most courses run junior golf for one season a year, if at all, and have no easy way to reach the parents who'd sign up. We want to give them something they can run year-round, and the reach to fill it.
Portals for courses and coaches. So a course can correct its own listing and a coach can publish real openings, instead of us reading it off their website. The pages are built; the logins aren't switched on yet.
Central Florida, Tampa Bay and South Florida — Broward, Hillsborough, Lake, Martin, Miami-Dade, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Seminole, and Volusia counties: 168 programs across 56 courses. We started in Central Florida because it's where we are, and we'd rather cover a region properly than list half of everywhere. South Florida came next, then Tampa Bay, one course at a time. Every program outside Central Florida was read off that course's own page, or off the schedule its own chapter publishes, before it went up. More metros to come.
A note on where we are today: Jr Tee Time is in an active build phase. Every listing is compiled from publicly available sources and marked "source-verified" until a provider confirms it directly. We're working through outreach to every course and provider in the directory. There are no partnerships to announce yet and no member numbers to quote, because there aren't any yet.
Jr Tee Time is built and run by the Padilla family. Questions, corrections, or partnership interest are always welcome — see the Contact page.
